Raicilla Tasting | LA
Apr 11, 2019 - Apr 11, 2019

For over five centuries, the central stem of the maguey plant has been used to produce the local firewater known as Raicilla. Pre-dating Hispanic history, the spirit is thought to be Mexico’s best-kept secret. The central stem of the agave plant is mashed and roasted, similar to mezcal, and single-distilled in copper pots, resulting in a sweetly vegetal taste. Shared between locals for generations, it is known to have euphoric properties.

We invite you to join us at our cozy home in Venice Beach for a special fireside event. Together, the producers of Raicilla De Una will walk us through a tasting and presentation of what Jaliscans lovingly call medicina. Together we’ll explore this amazing spirit and experience its magic.

Time: 8-10p

Address: 1107 Abbot Kinney, Los Angeles CA 90219
