Our Members: Manny Panther
Pro footballer, entrepreneur and Habitas member Manny Panther can do anything he sets his mind to. This Glaswegian most notably played professional football for the Scottish premier league. Determined to make a difference in the world, he hung up his cleats to start his own company, Panther Tax Back, which helps individuals claim tax relief for expenses incurred during their employment. Of course, his interest in helping others didn’t stop there.
Recently, a chance encounter at The Habitas New Year’s Eve event in Tulum changed the course of Manny’s life. Manny connected with Habitas member Troy Swanson, who led several workshops on human connection. In no time, Manny was on a flight to Bangalore, India on a service mission for Troy’s non-profit, Alphabet Club. The initiative focuses on placing children without access to education into schools, teaching them how to read, write and speak English. Alphabet Club also helps build new schools, provide free meals to students, and install libraries into new and existing schools.
With his abundant energy, goodwill, and infectious zest for life, we simply had to ask Manny what inspires him to keep going. We can’t wait to see where his inspiration takes him next.
